What is Hoop-A-Thon?

Hoop-A-Thon is a community event where participants gather support from family, friends, coworkers, and neighbours by collecting pledges. During the event, each participant shoots free throws and funds are raised based on their pledge commitments.

Your support helps families stay close to loved ones receiving care. Proceeds from this year will be distributed to:

  • Local youth at risk
  • Seniors living in isolation
  • The new Ronald McDonald House

Hoop-A-Thon is proud to partner with UNBC Timberwolves Basketball. Their support helps bring our community together at the UNBC Sports Centre for a day of free throws, pledges, and giving back.

How pledges work

  1. 01

    Per basket pledge

    Supporters can pledge an amount for each free throw made (for example, $2 per basket). The total is calculated after the event.

  2. 02

    Lump sum pledge

    Supporters can choose a one-time flat donation regardless of the number of baskets made.

  3. 03

    Mixed support

    Donors can combine both options to maximize impact and help participants reach their fundraising goals.
